IV Hydration
None of your patients want to have to get dressed, go to the emergency room, and wait for hours to receive IV hydration.
MrandMrsNurse provide a convenient way for your care plan to continue in the comfort of their home. Under appropriate medical direction and with a valid order, our experienced Registered Nurses provide mobile IV hydration, obtain and monitor vital signs, and communicate relevant findings or concerns back to the referring physician.
This can be especially helpful for patients experiencing dehydration or difficulty maintaining adequate oral fluids, as well as selected patients who may benefit from physician-directed hydration during recovery. You remain the physician directing their care — we simply provide the skilled nursing support to help carry out the plan at home.
Blood Draws at Home
When your patient needs laboratory testing, we can help make the process easier. MrandMrsNurse can provide mobile blood draws in the patient's home, office or other convenient location, helping reduce unnecessary trips to a laboratory or clinic.
This can be especially valuable for older adults, post-operative patients, patients with mobility limitations, busy professionals, or anyone who simply benefits from receiving care at home. When appropriate, we can coordinate the collection with the ordering provider and laboratory and help ensure specimens are handled and transported according to the required instructions.
Point-of-Care Testing
Sometimes you need answers without adding another appointment to your patient's schedule. Our mobile nursing services can include point-of-care testing and specimen collection when appropriate, allowing patients to receive certain testing conveniently in their own home.
Depending on the service requested and applicable clinical protocols, this may include testing or specimen collection for illnesses such as flu, COVID-19, strep and other commonly requested tests. Results and relevant information can then be communicated back to the healthcare provider as appropriate, helping you remain involved in your patient's care.
Injections & Medication Support
If your patient requires an injection, medication administration or help understanding how to use a prescribed injectable medication, we can provide one-on-one nursing support in the comfort of their home.
Our nurses can assist with prescribed IM or subcutaneous injections, medication administration, and patient education. We can also teach patients or family members how to safely perform self-injections, helping reinforce the instructions provided by your office and giving patients additional confidence when managing their treatment at home.
Patient Support
Patients, especially seniors often need support beyond your office, and many need more than a referral — they need someone to help them follow through.
MrandMrsNurse provides an RN Medical Appointment Companion Service for patients who may benefit from professional nursing support when attending specialist consultations, procedures, diagnostic testing or follow-up appointments.
Mr Nurse or Mrs Nurse can accompany your patient to the appointment and remain with them throughout the visit. We can help prepare questions, organize medication and health information, listen carefully to the specialist, take notes, clarify instructions and help the patient understand changes to medications, testing or treatment.
Afterward, we help reinforce the next steps and, with the patient's permission, can provide a clear recap to family members or caregivers.
