2. Is IV therapy safe?

MrandMrsNurse have treated thousands of people with IV's over the many years. IV’s are safe, common and the risks are extremely low. The minor risk from IV therapy is irritation, inflammation, or bruising of the puncture site, while more serious symptoms would include systemic reactions such as allergies and local thrombosis, but these are very rare despite its possibility of occurrence.

Infections can occur when the IV remains in place for days, however your IV therapy will be over in 30 - 90 minutes.

Allergic reactions are extremely rare, however that's why its important to have trained, experienced RN's come to your location. MrandMrsNurse is a small owner operated company. We are both Registered Nurses with a wealth of experience (see our profiles)

We conduct a thorough screening with clients to help avoid any complications. Please share all pertinent information regarding previous allergic reactions to medications or therapies in the past and/or medications, supplements you are currently taking, because your wellness and safety is our #1 goal.

It was in the 1960s, when Dr John Myers first developed a world-famous cocktail of vitamins and minerals, following that, the intravenous vitamin therapy that we know today began to blossom and take shape. IV Therapy is nothing new in the medical community, nor is it a crazy fad that the media would like you to believe. During World War I, IV Therapy became a lifesaving treatment, in fact Medical professionals first attempted injecting medications into veins in the 1600s, but due to poor hygiene, the practice was abandoned.

5. What Is The Process of IV Therapy?

A consultation is done to review your history before we even come to your location and our medical directors are available 24-7. We'll bring everything we need.

First, the IV placement area will be disinfected using a small alcohol wipe. The process of IV therapy involves placing a small needle into the arm or elsewhere on the body to start the IV and then a plastic straw (catheter) is used to administer the IV treatment.

MrandMrsNurse often use lidocaine to numb the area and most clients don't even realize we've started. Once the catheter is in place, the procedure will take between 30-90 minutes. The rate and quantity of intravenous fluid given depends on each client’s medical condition, weight and age. During this time the only thing you need to do is relax, watch TV, read a magazine or even nap.

6. Why take vitamins by IV rather than orally?

Studies show that when we take vitamins orally or eat food approximately 30% is absorbed by the gut. What makes IV nutrition so beneficial is that IV nutrients bypass the gut and allow for 100% absorption. The vitamins and nutrients in our IVs are the highest quality possible.. By taking nutrients through IV, we can reach higher levels in our body and bloodstream. For example, 5 grams of Vitamin C taken orally routinely leads to bowel intolerance and  loose stools. But 5 grams of Vitamin C given IV leads to 100% absorption without gastrointestinal side effects. This allows for a higher dosage with more immune-boosting and skin-enhancing power in your body.

7. How long does an IV take to administer?

The length of time for your drip will depend on the “cocktail” you select. On average, drips take between 30-90 minutes to infuse. 
The difference in infusion rate depends on the total fluid volume, size of the vein and your tolerance to the drip rate. Other factors may affect the speed at which we can infuse the fluid.
During your infusion you can relax, read, or use your mobile device.

Note: Some IV infusions can take up to 4 hours depending on patients age, health history and because veins can be more fragile and less stable.

Our concierge mobile service is based in Florida 33445. Concierge travel and service fees maybe in addition to hydration and vitamins. However typically they are waived at MrandMrsNurses discretion.1. During business hours (8am -7pm), no charge for Premium Blend Drips or NAD hydration services.2. During business hours (8am -7pm), $99 concierge travel may apply.3. Outside business hours (7pm - 11.59pm)  $100 additional fee applies for all services.4. 10. What are your regular business hours?

Normal business hours are from 8am to 7pm but we extend these hours and are available 24/7 if a client needs us. Additional fees apply for visits outside normal business hours.

Great news... IV therapy is eligible to be covered by Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA).  
Use those extra dollars anytime, especially at the end of the year.
MrandMrsNurse accepts FSA and HSA funds for payment as long as your FSA or HSA card is affiliated with a major credit card.
If you would like to use your FSA or HSA card to pay for a portion of your infusion purchase and apply the remaining balance to a different card (or cash), just let us know.

15. Are you taking Covid-19 precautions?

Yes! We follow CDC guidelines and pre-screen all clients over the phone prior to arrival, we check clients' temperatures immediately upon arrival and wear masks. MrandMrsNurse continue to monitor updates regarding Covid -19.

16. If we have multiple people, do we all have to pay the house-call/concierge fee?

No, the travel concierge fee is just a one-time fee per visit. For groups of 4 or more, or services over $500 we drop the concierge fee altogether! PLUS you'll receive discounts and FREE vitamins. Gather friends or family together, then sit back, have your therapy and feel the incredible benefits of IV hydration.

17. Do you have a Medical Director?

Yes... In order to comply with Florida law, every IV drip hydration company must employ a Medical Director. We have access to ours during regular business hours and is available for us to consult with at all times  before, during and after treatment.

Confirmed and Unconfirmed Individual appointments
In order to protect our highly skilled nurses, we stick to the following cancellation timeline:

Cancellation/Rearrangement within 12 hours of the appointment time: 100% charge applied
Cancellation/Rearrangement from 12 to 24 hours of the appointment time: 50% charge applied
Cancellation/Rearrangement more than 24 hours from appointment time: Full refund or appointment rearrangement with no additional fee​
If you are more than 30 minutes late for your appointment it is considered a no show and you will be charged in full

Groups of two or more
Confirmed and Unconfirmed group appointments

If your group is two persons or more, any missing persons will lose their deposit.  (I.e., if four people book and two people show, two persons receiving services will be charged fully as agreed, and the two no-show persons will each lose their deposit)

3. Clinicians must ask about your medical history, medications and allergies – and either reject or appoint you.

4. You should never feel hurried and a nurse should explain what’s being done to you at all times.
